Operational Strategy and Data Insights Lead

The Principal Operational Strategy Advisor at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital plays a pivotal role in leveraging data insights to drive strategic decision-making and optimize operational efficiency within the Information Services department.
This position involves analyzing complex datasets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making data-driven recommendations to enhance service delivery and overall performance. To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of IT operating models, and the ability to communicate insights effectively across various stakeholder levels.
About the OpportunityAs an Operational Strategy and Data Insights Lead, you will be responsible for designing and conducting studies that require advanced empirical methods or mixed quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods. You will also utilize advanced analytics techniques to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to IT strategy, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for the organization.
- Develop and implement predictive models to forecast future trends, anticipate challenges, and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within Information Services.
- Design and implement performance measurement frameworks to assess the effectiveness of Information Services' initiatives, projects, and processes, and provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
- Create visually compelling dashboards and reports to effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders, including senior management and executive leadership.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, business (economics or finance preferred), or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in a client-facing environment interacting with senior and executive leadership at the department and organization level.
- Proven ability to apply quantitative reasoning skills to approach complex problems systematically, breaking them down into manageable components, and applying logical reasoning to find solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
We offer a competitive salary range of $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the Principal Operational Strategy Advisor position. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
