Job Overview

Rescar Companies is seeking a skilled Railcar Mechanic to join our team in Soda Springs, Idaho. As a Railcar Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn components on railcar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose malfunctions in railcar equipment
  • Repair and replace defective or worn components
  • Test and operate engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Clean units and components
  • Ensure proper operation

Requirements:

  • Good work ethic
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Previous mechanic experience desired
  • Familiarity with welding a plus
