Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sommelier to join our team at Aspen Skiing Company. As a key member of our Food and Beverage team, you will be responsible for elevating our restaurant service, increasing wine and beverage sales, and providing exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the beverage program, including ordering and inventory management
  • Train staff to be effective sales team members
  • Assist in restaurant service and maintain a clean and organized wine cellar, wine fridge, and bar
  • Conduct monthly inventory and code invoices
  • Ensure service staff is knowledgeable about wine lists and able to make recommendations
  • Assist in planning and executing special wine events and promotions
Requirements
  • Extensive wine knowledge and experience in a fine dining establishment
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work with Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Comfortable presenting and speaking in public to large groups
  • College degree or hotel/restaurant training preferred
  • Knowledge of food and cooking methods, as well as F&B finance models
Work Environment

This is a seasonal full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 pounds. The physical demands of this job include standing for extended periods, working in wet and humid conditions, and walking on slippery surfaces.
