Semiconductor Process Development Engineer

Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Semiconductor Process Development Engineer to join our III-V process development team working on gallium nitride-based devices and III-V focal plane array fabrication within the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and execute process development efforts to improve product yield and develop new processes and device capabilities.
- Develop proof of concept demonstrations of novel semiconductor processes and identify yield and process improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot technical issues and establish equipment qualification and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Characterize, understand, and improve semiconductor device performance and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior work experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of prior work experience.
- Experience in semiconductor processing techniques such as photo lithography, dry etching, metals evaporation, and optical or scanning electron microscope inspections.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Masters or PhD in STEM.
- Experience working in a controlled, cleanroom environment.
- Experience troubleshooting a diverse set of fabrication equipment.
- Experience with statistical process control and lean manufacturing methods.
- A competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000.
