We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Augusta University. Key Responsibilities- Provide basic medical services, including evaluating and treating medical and health needs of patients
- Monitor quality improvement programs as they relate to patient care
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to improve health knowledge and potential for wellness
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in the State of Georgia
- 2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for 1 year of experience in a correctional setting
- Good organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers
- Functions within the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act (Nurse Practitioners) and Georgia Composite Medical Board Rules (Physician Assistants)
- Must have current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification, obtained through American Heart or Red Cross Program
- Ability to lift 50lbs, with normal bending, reaching, stooping, standing, and sitting for long periods of time
- Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice
