We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Augusta University. As a Clinical Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients, including evaluating and treating medical and health needs, monitoring quality improvement programs, and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic medical services, including evaluating and treating medical and health needs of patients
  • Monitor quality improvement programs as they relate to patient care
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to improve health knowledge and potential for wellness
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant in the State of Georgia
  • 2 years of previous experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for 1 year of experience in a correctional setting
  • Good organizational and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers
  • Functions within the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act (Nurse Practitioners) and Georgia Composite Medical Board Rules (Physician Assistants)
  • Must have current Health Care Provider BCLS Certification, obtained through American Heart or Red Cross Program
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, with normal bending, reaching, stooping, standing, and sitting for long periods of time
  • Security Clearance by the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice
