Role Overview:
As a Manufacturing Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for interpreting and executing assembly tasks based on engineering diagrams, specifications, and other procedural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately utilize various measuring instruments including scales, feeler gauges, rulers, micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to ensure precision in assembly.
- Execute layout tasks for enclosure doors and components.
- Fabricate and install bus bar sections according to technical drawings or instructions.
- Modify and install a range of metallic and non-metallic components as required.
- Conduct touch-up painting as instructed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, quality standards, and operational guidelines.
- Set up, operate, and maintain necessary production tools and equipment.
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors regarding any issues, progress updates, and suggestions.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Identify and propose cost-effective alternatives for processes and materials.
- Document any necessary changes to drawings during the manufacturing process and submit them to supervisors upon request.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a metal fabrication environment, with mechanical equipment experience. Welding skills are advantageous.
- Availability for overtime and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb as necessary.
Vision Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of close work on detailed drawings and small print.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Work Environment:
- This position is located in a shop/warehouse setting, which is not climate-controlled and may expose you to varying temperatures, humidity, noise, vibrations, and other environmental factors.
