Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to support our Torpedo Propulsion Program in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will be responsible for performing various manufacturing operations, including working with engineers to set up and calibrate equipment, performing rework and testing, and developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Use of hand and power tools, specialty tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform manufacturing operations.
• Ensuring work is complete using electro-static discharge precautions.
• Use of process plans and engineering drawings to build assemblies while adhering to all steps and requirements.
• Following all special safety requirements for the area.
• Tool verification and setup.
• Use of lifting devices, including cranes and pallet jacks.
• Working with a team to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, or 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude for precision work.
• Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective working relationships and a positive team environment.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Strong computer skills to use and operate various computer systems and software.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
• Aerospace industry experience and development program manufacturing experience are preferred.
