This position entails spearheading initiatives aimed at cultivating a lean manufacturing atmosphere while conducting thorough analyses of operational capacities.
The responsibilities encompass:(1)
Developing a visual workplace, (2) Structuring the work environment to optimize performance, and (3) Streamlining process interconnections and workflows. Candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and sound judgment, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Adaptability to evolving conditions and the ability to cooperate in a team setting are essential attributes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ industrial engineering methodologies to enhance scheduling efficiency and productivity, reduce costs, and elevate first-pass quality through Lean and other engineering principles.
- Collaborate with diverse teams across operations, engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to identify, quantify, and execute improvement initiatives.
- Conduct assessments of machine and labor capacities, devising strategies for enhancement.
- Determine optimal operational sequences and establish methods to maximize the utilization of production facilities and workforce.
- Innovate and implement new processes and standards that support the achievement of operational goals.
- Identify and integrate new techniques and technological advancements into production workflows.
- Propose and advocate for facility and equipment layouts and investments that align with product delivery and cost objectives.
- Drive project engagement and ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) is typically required, alongside a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience. Alternatively, candidates with 12 years of relevant experience without a degree will also be considered.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to access restrictions to certain information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in continuous improvement methodologies, including LEAN, ACE, and Six Sigma.
- Familiarity with SAP and experience in software/data science and analytics (SQL, Tableau, etc.) is advantageous.
- Strong project management capabilities and excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to drive results.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to various organizational levels.
