Job Summary

Job Title: APP Associate Director of Infectious Disease

Job Summary: This position is located at the University of Kentucky HealthCare Bluegrass Care Clinic. The APP Associate Director of Infectious Disease is an integral leader in the evaluation and revision of APP practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop ongoing growth strategies to ensure effective patient management for the ID Division and the Bluegrass Care Clinic.
  • Promote APP professional practice across multiple service locations, including ambulatory, inpatient, and outreach locations within the Division of Infectious Disease.
  • Manage recruitment, orientation, and retention of APP staff located at various service locations.
  • Supervise PRN APPs at Central Kentucky Management Services and Central Kentucky Recovery Services.

Requirements:

  • A broad leadership view that recognizes and appreciates the unique and diverse nature of the department and the APP role.
  • Ability to enhance the understanding of APP roles among physician colleagues, promoting collaborative and interdisciplinary care approaches.
  • Strong advocacy skills, engaging others in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Availability to focus on the APP Liaison role and make it a priority within the organization.
  • Thoughtful and creative problem-solving abilities, working collaboratively with teams and the healthcare system to develop innovative solutions.
  • Healthcare professional background with experience in multidisciplinary care approaches, demonstrating a commitment to collaborative patient care and treatment.
  • Possess strong leadership skills, a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, and a deep understanding of infectious disease ambulatory and inpatient APP roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with vulnerable patient populations including HIV/AIDS.
