Job Title: Associate, or Professor in Pediatric Infectious Disease

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist to join our team at the University of Kentucky. As a faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Disease, you will be responsible for providing quality subspecialty care to patients, advancing the mission and vision of the division, and contributing to the education of future physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans to support primary care providers in managing the care of patients with infectious diseases.
  • Serve as Division Chief of Infectious Disease in the Department of Pediatrics, overseeing the division's responsibilities in primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care.
  • Supervise a team of students and residents, providing on-call coverage and contributing to the education of future physicians.
  • Contribute to research and academic opportunities in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
Requirements:
  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
  • Completion of Pediatric Residency and Fellowship from an accredited program.
  • Board eligible/certified in Pediatrics and Infectious Disease.
  • Current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Evidence of capability and effectiveness as a practitioner, teacher, and clinical researcher in Pediatric Infectious Disease.
  • Potential for growth as a supervisor, teacher, and practitioner.
