Job Summary:

The Utility Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all utility-based projects, analyzing and tracking utility trends, and ensuring compliance with local and state agencies. This role requires a strong understanding of utility management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise utility-related functions to ensure compliance with local and state agencies.
  • Develop and implement procedures for utility management, including Cap-Ex projects.
  • Review contracts and specifications for utility-related contractors.
  • Support the Operations team with water/sewer maintenance, repairs, and replacements.
  • Maintain working relationships with contractors and asset management platform providers.
  • Respond to and investigate utility outages and customer concerns.
  • Provide support for inventory and property management software.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management.
  • Proficient in office productivity software, especially Excel.
  • Ability to understand and apply company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
Work Environment:

This role will require occasional travel among the Lakeland, Tampa North, and Tampa South regions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience in utilities.
