Position Overview: Collections Specialist

Russell Tobin & Associates is seeking a dedicated Collections Specialist to join our dynamic team.

Employment Type: Contract/Hybrid

Compensation: $20-$23/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries through various communication channels, including chat, email, and phone.
  • Provide effective troubleshooting, explain product features, and assist with product enhancements.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to frontline staff.
  • Document cases clearly and accurately in shared records.
  • Manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities as necessary.
  • Maintain a productive work queue and achieve service level objectives.
  • Collect outstanding account balances.
  • Initiate outbound calls to customers to discuss options for settling debts.
  • Conduct credit report assessments.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the timing of collections.
  • Engage in various payroll collection activities, including account closures and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in navigating internal systems.
  • Experience with Amazon Connect for daily time tracking.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to follow standard operating procedures to meet service level agreements.
  • Skilled in using CCP for phone and chat communications.
  • Familiarity with internal systems for quality assurance.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key, possess basic accounting skills, and type efficiently.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • At least one year of experience in collections, banking, or financial services is preferred.
