As we continue to grow and innovate, we are seeking a Head of Operations to join our leadership team and drive the operational success of our expansion.
Role Overview
We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Head of Operations, Fulfillment & Last Mile. This pivotal role involves spearheading data-driven operational excellence, managing systems and processes, and enhancing our logistics framework to cater to both enterprise retailers and direct-to-consumer eCommerce clients. The position will report directly to the founders.
- Design and execute a scalable logistics framework to facilitate rapid growth in fleet management, middle mile transport, sortation, warehouse operations, fulfillment, and last mile delivery.
- Lead the development and implementation of data-driven procedures to ensure operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction.
- Create and monitor comprehensive supply chain metrics, cost models, and KPIs to assess performance and progress.
- Oversee daily logistics operations and workforce management to guarantee timely and cost-effective fulfillment and delivery.
- Manage partnerships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts to enhance cost efficiency and service quality.
- Provide leadership for ongoing improvements in logistics processes, technology, infrastructure, and vendor collaborations.
- Take direct responsibility for P&L, compliance, and workforce management, including hiring, training, and developing logistics personnel.
- Communicate proactively about supply chain challenges, risks, and opportunities to senior management, driving collaborative solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to anticipate demand changes and adjust resources accordingly.
- 10-15 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, third-party logistics, last-mile operations, or a related field, particularly in a startup environment.
- Extensive experience in developing logistics and last-mile operations for both retail and direct-to-consumer eCommerce.
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations from early-stage companies to series B or beyond in a senior leadership capacity, with direct P&L accountability.
- Proven ability to leverage technology and analytical solutions to enhance logistical processes and meet business goals.
- Strong grasp of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Possess an entrepreneurial spirit, a growth-oriented mindset, and a hands-on approach.
- Competitive total compensation package ranging from 150K-180K (including bonuses) along with an attractive stock option offering as a key leader in an early-stage company.
