Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with project leaders, designers, and architects to formulate precise cost plans for upcoming projects.
- Examine project specifications, architectural plans, and design documents to generate accurate cost estimates.
- Identify and assess all material, labor, and other expenses, taking into account supply chain dynamics and market conditions.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive bids and ensure cost-efficient procurement.
- Oversee project budgets throughout the construction phase, making necessary adjustments to uphold profitability.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts for senior management, highlighting potential cost-saving measures.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of cost estimation tools or advanced spreadsheets to boost efficiency and precision.
- Provide support and direction to project teams regarding budgeting, cost management, and financial strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, trades, and clients to promote ongoing collaboration and business growth.
- Ensure all cost plans align with organizational objectives and contribute to reaching revenue goals.
- Strong analytical abilities with a focus on budgeting, cost management, and financial strategy.
- Proficient in cost estimation software, spreadsheet development, and data analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction cost planning, quantity surveying, or a related field.
- A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Reliable transportation and eligibility to work in the United States.
