Quality Engineer Role at Tate

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance professional to join our team at Tate, a leading provider of innovative flooring and structural solutions.

About the Job

  • The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to develop and implement quality programs that meet or exceed industry standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, purchasing, and selection support for design processes.
  • Technical and engineering support for daily operations and process improvements.
  • Ensuring system and product compliance through audits and capability studies.
  • Designing testing methods and confirming system and product capabilities.
  • Preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Participating in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs.
  • Completing general QA projects to enhance product quality.
  • Assisting in root cause analysis activities on claims.
  • Maintaining records of completed production QA check sheets.
  • Identifying and facilitating approved dispositions for non-conforming material.
  • Maintaining on-site measurement devices (calibration, tracking, etc.).
  • Incoming material inspection as needed.

Additional Expectations:

  • Remaining compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensuring all duties related to product compliance adhere to the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for achieving compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Raising concerns related to the Compliance Management System to supervisors, managers, or members of the Leadership Team.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline; an Engineering field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Practical application experience of quality tools, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO-9001.
  • Experience with root cause analysis.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
  • Prior experience with statistical analysis using tools like Minitab is beneficial.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards.
