Job Summary

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician I is a critical role within the Telecare Corporation, responsible for conducting child, youth, and adult evaluations and releases in accordance with 5585/5150 regulations. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough assessments of members served to determine their immediate safety and level of care needs
Collaborate with law enforcement, family members, and other stakeholders to ensure effective crisis intervention and stabilization
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including discharge and aftercare planning
Provide ongoing emotional support and crisis intervention to members served, family members, and significant others as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of member served interactions, assessments, and treatment plans

Requirements

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
Two years of direct service experience in a behavioral health setting
Registration as ACSW, AMFT, or APCC
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician I works in a locked crisis program, serving adults 18+ who are admitted both voluntarily and involuntarily. The length of stay is up to 23 hours. The position requires manual dexterity, repetition, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
