Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting, working closely with experienced physicians and advanced practice providers to deliver a wide range of primary and specialty care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with psychiatric and mental health conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
• Conduct thorough assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and laboratory tests, to diagnose and manage psychiatric and mental health conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, therapy, and education, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid California License as a Registered Nurse and a California Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Certificate as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
• One year of experience as a registered Nurse on a Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, Psychiatric Emergency Service clinic, or Mental Health Center.
• OR Possession of a valid permanent California License as a Physician Assistant issued by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance and one year of experience as a Physician Assistant on a Psychiatric Inpatient Unit, Psychiatric Emergency Service clinic, or Mental Health Center.
• Verification/Waiver: Verification of qualifying experience, education, and/or training is required at the time of filing. Candidates unable to do so may submit a letter requesting a waiver of this requirement, indicating the reason(s) a verification cannot be obtained.
• Communications: Candidates must possess the following abilities: to express oneself effectively both orally and in writing; actively listen to others for understanding of their needs and situations; speak and write English clearly; read and understand correspondence, memoranda, and directives, and effectively represent the organization, department, and its operations to management and the public.
• Decision Making: This position requires that the candidate is able to act in a decisive manner using good judgment; manage diverse functions; assess problems and situations and anticipate needs and evaluate alternatives.

Pay Range
$86.32/hour
