Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Superintendent to join our team at Richmond American Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of new home construction, ensuring quality assurance and customer satisfaction, and collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the construction process to ensure timely completion and quality standards are met
  • Assist the Superintendent in scheduling and coordinating subcontractors
  • Monitor and maintain inventory in a presentable condition
  • Schedule and monitor subcontractors in the construction of houses
  • Inform and train subcontractors on company policies and procedures
  • Implement company policies and procedures, and complete required paperwork
  • Direct Detail Punch and Laborers as necessary
  • Interact with local municipalities to obtain required inspections
  • Conduct homeowner orientations and expedite completion of homeowner orientation letter items
  • Analyze and understand local and national building codes and manage projects within those standards
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • One - three years of previous residential or commercial construction experience preferred
  • Journeyman level experience in one or more trades used in the construction industry
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Basic knowledge of math and geometry
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
