Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Addiction Therapist to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our Chemical Dependency-Reg Clin department, you will provide Chemical Dependency services and psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, significant others of CD patients, and families under indirect supervision.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide higher level assessment and respond to crisis calls.
  • Develop and present treatment plans to the CDRP/S treatment team for recommendations, revisions, and approval.
  • Conduct chemical dependency focused educational lectures and provide general chemical dependency counseling, including individual and group counseling services.
  • Provide Adolescent, Significant Other, Family, and Multi-Family therapy as assigned.
  • Participate in clinical case conferences and provide case management services, including resource and referral coordination.
  • Mentor CDRP/S Counselors I and II, student interns, licensure candidates, and Alcohol or Drug Certificate candidates.
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years post-graduate relevant supervised addiction medicine therapy experience within the last five years required.
  • Masters degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other field related to behavioral health required.
  • Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
