Key Responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Implement and configure M365/Azure applications, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams, ensuring smooth integration and operational efficiency.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify technical issues pertaining to Azure servers and M365 services, focusing on maintaining uninterrupted service for Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange Server environments.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT teams to escalate and resolve intricate issues, providing advanced technical support to ensure swift resolution and minimal disruption to business activities.
  • Manage the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization technologies.
  • Oversee capacity planning, storage management, and the integration of automation processes for virtual servers.
  • Conduct regular server maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and performance tuning, to uphold the stability, security, and optimal functioning of Exchange, M365, and Azure environments.
  • Document and maintain server configurations, policies, and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Monitor server health and performance metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to avert service disruptions.
  • Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for Exchange, M365, and Azure environments, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
  • Engage with vendors and external partners to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges, utilizing vendor support resources as necessary.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations, providing technical expertise to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in server operations and maintenance, to continuously enhance support services.
  • Keep abreast of M365 updates and new features, evaluating their potential benefits for the organization and implementing relevant enhancements.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience as an M365 systems administrator, with a solid foundation in system administration and cloud engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting SMTP, traffic flow, and DNS-related issues in an enterprise context.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for M365 administration and automation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach.
  • Capability to manage multiple competing tasks with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • M365 certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are advantageous.
