Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Selectek. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mass and energy balances, heat transfer calculations, and pressure drop calculations to ensure the efficient operation of industrial equipment.
  • Review technical documents and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop cost estimates of equipment and services to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with application engineers to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to create piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, and other technical drawings.
  • Write technical specifications for process instrumentation and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
  • Approve quotes and generate purchase requisitions based on evaluation of performance curves, operating parameters, and customer specifications.
  • Correspond with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project execution.
  • Create functional descriptions, training presentations, start-up checklists, and other technical documents to support project execution.
  • Coordinate project execution efforts between departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of Project Engineering experience in industrial equipment.
  • Ability to develop P&IDs and other technical drawings.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of PLC control systems and logic.
Compensation:

$38 – 51/hr, depending on experience.
