We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Selectek. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform mass and energy balances, heat transfer calculations, and pressure drop calculations to ensure the efficient operation of industrial equipment.
- Review technical documents and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop cost estimates of equipment and services to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborate with application engineers to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create piping and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, and other technical drawings.
- Write technical specifications for process instrumentation and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient operation.
- Approve quotes and generate purchase requisitions based on evaluation of performance curves, operating parameters, and customer specifications.
- Correspond with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- Create functional descriptions, training presentations, start-up checklists, and other technical documents to support project execution.
- Coordinate project execution efforts between departments to ensure seamless project delivery.
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- 3+ years of Project Engineering experience in industrial equipment.
- Ability to develop P&IDs and other technical drawings.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of PLC control systems and logic.
$38 – 51/hr, depending on experience.
