Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team at the Novelis Terre Haute Manufacturing Facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and improving environmental compliance and sustainability at our facility, while also supporting other EHS programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve environmental performance and sustainability at the facility
  • Manage and maintain the facility's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and submit environmental reports and permits to regulatory agencies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and initiatives
  • Provide guidance and technical support for environmental projects and initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date on environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in an EHS role at a manufacturing facility or comprehensive environmental compliance support of industrial facilities
  • Proven experience with Title V, RCRA, NPDES, and Spill Prevention Compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
