About the Role

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Pathologist to join our team of experienced pathologists. As a Surgical Pathologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing a wide range of surgical and cytology cases, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose surgical and cytology cases, including 80,000 surgical pathology cases per year
  • Collaborate with our team of pathologists, clinicians, and researchers to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in shared laboratory directorship responsibilities for our network of regional acute care laboratories
  • Share in the education of fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as opportunities to serve as an Instructor in our Clinical Laboratory Technology Program
  • Work with our Lipson Cancer Institute Hematology-Oncology colleagues to care for patients across western Upstate New York and the North Country
Requirements
  • Board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
  • Fellowship training in oncologic pathology, head & neck pathology, gynecologic pathology, pulmonary/thoracic pathology, or another surgical pathology subspecialty
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
