We are seeking a skilled Medical-Surgical Nurse to join our team at Corewell Health. As a Medical-Surgical Nurse on our ACE unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population of medical patients. Our unit is a 29-bed specialty unit that focuses on the acute care of the elderly, and we take pride in our compassionate and patient-centered approach.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to medical patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Associate's or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years for new graduates or RNs with less than 1 year of experience.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Graduate Nurses (GNs) must obtain RN licensure within 60 days of hire.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
This is a full-time position working weekends only, with a 36-hour weekly schedule. The shift is 7pm-7:30am, and the work environment is fast-paced and dynamic. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, on-demand pay program, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
