We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team at Consumers Credit Union. As a Mortgage Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in facilitating an exceptional member experience through timely mortgage loan credit decisions and loan closings.
Key Responsibilities- Process conventional FNMA loans (fixed rate and ARMs) and all Consumers Portfolio loans (including construction loans) within timeframes set by management.
- Review, verify, and update all data entered into the Encompass system, including documentation of income, assets, credit history, appraisal, title work, property tax information, insurance information, and legal descriptions.
- Clear all conditions requested by underwriting and mortgage insurance companies to move files to closing expeditiously.
- Complete all initial file reviews within the timeframe set by management.
- Minimum three years of residential mortgage processing experience preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of mortgage lending, including conventional and portfolio lending experience preferred.
- Demonstrated skill in monitoring and overseeing loan production pipeline preferred.
- Experience with the Encompass Loan Origination System is preferred.
- Proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Internet Browsers, and email functions required.
- Solid math and calculation skills.
- Exceptional member service skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work.
- Solid organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a heavy volume of mortgage loan transactions.
- Proven aptitude to work in both a team and individual environment.
- Sound judgment skills to make quick decisions within written policy and standard operating procedures.
- Display high levels of professionalism and ethics.
