We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team at Carle Foundation Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating education programs and quality issues for nursing staff development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement education programs for nursing staff to enhance their clinical knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care through the use of clinical standards of practice and evaluation of expected outcomes.
- Provide support and direction to nursing staff in the holistic care of patients with complex physiological and psychosocial problems.
- Evaluate processes related to electronic medical record documentation and identify trends to facilitate appropriate follow-up or changes in unit processes.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and recommend investigation and purchase of new equipment based on assessed needs.
- Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
- Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
- Multicultural sensitivity and critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
