Job Summary:

The Clinical Nursing Practice Specialist is a key role at Carle Foundation Hospital, responsible for advancing and maintaining best nursing practices across various practice settings. This position requires a high-performing clinical nurse with expertise in the nursing process, the Illinois Nursing Practice Act, and the scope and standards of nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advancing nursing practice across Carle Health, including acute, ambulatory, procedural, and community practice settings.
  • Fostering implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Assisting in the development of policies and procedures in clinical areas of expertise to establish standards for nursing practice.
  • Using new clinical evidence to update nursing policy, practice, and workflow.
  • Assisting in standardizing practice across Carle Health sites, as appropriate, and in alignment with best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois upon hire and National Nursing Certification within 6 months.
  • Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, with at least two (2) years in ambulatory settings.
  • Demonstrated experience with interprofessional collaboration to advance patient care.
