**Job Title:** Nurse Care Specialist - Critical Care

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our Critical Care team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

**Responsibilities:*

  • Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Perform a comprehensive assessment on all patients within the appropriate time of admission utilizing skills of observation, communication and examination; including data obtained from patient, family and other members of the healthcare team.
  • Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems and attainable outcomes.

**Requirements:**

  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS within 90 days of hire.
  • For 3rd floor telemetry unit:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • For float pool and float pool extended:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For critical care:
    • Basic arrhythmia within 6 months of hire
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
    • AACN, CCRN or CCP certification within two years of hire
  • For Oncology:
    • ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire
  • For Adult Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of emergency experience preferred
    • TNCC Preferred
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire
    • PALS within 6 months of hire
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Medical Surgical:
    • At least one year of pediatric in-hospital experience preferred.
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire
  • For Pediatric Emergency Room:
    • At least one year of pediatric emergency experience preferred
    • PALS within 6 months of hire.
    • ACLS within 6 months of hire
    • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (8-hour, non-physical training) within 6 months of hire
    • ENPC or TNCC within 6 months of hire

**Work Environment:**

The Nurse Care Specialist - Critical Care will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing critical care to patients in need. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team setting, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

**Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
