We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMT-Basic to join our team at City Ambulance Service. As an EMT-Basic, you will be responsible for providing advanced level patient care in emergency and non-emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, assessing patient conditions and determining courses of treatment.
- Provide first-aid treatment and advanced life support to patients, clearly explaining procedures and relaying information to others.
- Transport patients safely in an ambulance, transferring them to hospitals or other healthcare facilities as needed.
- Document medical care given to patients in a prompt and effective manner, maintaining accurate records.
- Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use, ensuring the ambulance and station locations are well-maintained.
- Ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs. from ground to waist level.
- Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations, effectively communicating in verbal and written English.
- Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
