Geotechnical Field Engineer Role
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Field Engineer to join our team at StaffSource. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical investigations and a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering calculations.
Key Responsibilities
Define scopes for geotechnical investigations and prepare proposals for evaluation sites.
Perform evaluations of subsurface conditions and prepare geotechnical reports and boring logs.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and consultants.
Assist with proposal development and presentations for prospective projects.
Coordinate preparation of invoices and attend meetings to discuss findings and recommendations.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from a US-Accredited Institution
- 3+ years' experience in geotechnical full-time work
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to use technology/computer
- Knowledge of geotechnical engineering calculations (soil settlement, bearing pressure, slope stability)
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, detailed reports, short correspondence, and memos
- Preferred Qualification: Professional Engineering license (PE) or ability to achieve within 1 year
