Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Analyst to support Abbott's Structural Heart Division. This role is integral to Manufacturing Operations and involves collaboration with various leadership levels to enhance financial accountability, optimize costs, and drive process improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Timely and precise financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and maintaining financial controls.
  • Understanding and applying complex financial concepts.
  • Identifying potential risks and proposing actionable solutions.
  • Conducting standard cost analysis and contributing to manufacturing strategy.

What You Will Focus On:

Your work will encompass:

  • Managing Month-End Close processes, Quarterly Forecasts, and Annual Planning.
  • Developing budgets aligned with the Annual Plan and Quarterly Forecasts for operational cost centers.
  • Performing variance analysis to identify key business drivers.
  • Conducting regular financial reviews with business partners to discuss financial performance and address business challenges.
  • Providing insights to guide the business towards achieving financial objectives.
  • Executing Month-End Close activities, including journal entries, variance analyses, and reporting.
  • Delivering ad-hoc analyses to support complex decision-making processes.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency.
  • Supporting internal and external audit requests as needed.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively at various organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A quick aptitude for learning new software and databases (e.g., SAP, Essbase, Business Objects).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the medical device industry or in supporting manufacturing and supply chain operations is advantageous.
