About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Resource Navigator to join our team at Heading Home Corps, a program administered by Ampact. As a Housing Resource Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals experiencing homelessness achieve their housing goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in navigating social services resources, programs, and benefit systems.
  • Foster strong relationships to help clients build their confidence and skills.
  • Help individuals overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Gain hands-on experience in social services while embedded in a local organization.
Requirements
  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule of 40 or 25 hours per week, depending on the agreed-upon hours commitment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), internet searches, data entry, email communication (with attachments), databases, and software use, and videoconferencing.
  • Fluent in English.
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
Perks and Benefits

As an AmeriCorps program member, you will receive a stipend every two weeks, as well as additional perks, including:

  • Up to $6895.00 in Education Award (Segal AmeriCorps Education Award) which can be used to pay tuition or repay qualified student loans.
  • Federal student loan forbearance and interest repayment.
  • Time accrual toward Americorps Education Award.
