Interior Designer Job Description

BAR Architects & Interiors is seeking a talented and passionate Interior Designer with primarily hospitality and custom homes experience. The focus of the role will be a combination of hospitality, high-end custom homes, and urban multifamily projects. We design unique concept/visioning influenced interior experiences for exciting projects of all scales. The scope of opportunities will range from brand positioning/concept through CA phases and from contributing original design solutions to taking direction from Senior Designers and our Interior Design Studio Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, document, and execute high-level design projects, both in collaboration with and independent of an architecture studio
  • Understand the architectural design process and integrate interior design concepts
  • Evaluate, select, and apply advanced design and technical methods, with responsibility for project assignments including brand positioning, programming, design development, production, and coordination through construction documents and construction administration
  • Strong competency in interior design specifications and industry standards, and familiarity with accessibility codes
  • Able to work easily independently and alongside team to meet budget and schedule
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to acquire and share knowledge
  • Strong interest in educating and mentoring younger team members
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills
  • Proficiency with Sketch-up, Adobe CS, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite; Lumion is a plus
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 – 8 years of experience
  • Professional degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related discipline
  • Sustainability accreditation highly desired
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary range: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00, commensurate with qualifications
  • Annual bonus eligible
  • 9/80 schedule with hybrid in-office and remote work
