The Radiology Technologist Care Guide is a vital member of the OSF HealthCare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced radiology environment.
Key Responsibilities- Register patients, collect payments, and room patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist providers with care and treatment, preparing patients for radiologic procedures, and performing x-rays as needed.
- Discharge patients and follow up with them to ensure a positive experience.
- Act as a patient advocate, communicating with providers, patients, and families to ensure seamless care.
- Perform front office and back office duties, including data entry and phone support, as needed.
- Associate's degree in Radiography or related field.
- Licensed with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification within 2 weeks of hire.
- ARRT (R) registry eligibility and completion within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) certification.
- Previous experience as a medical office assistant or CNA or equivalent.
- Knowledge of urgent care medical specialty and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of Epic electronic health record system.
