The PLANIT Group is seeking a highly skilled Sustainment Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sustainment team, you will play a critical role in the planning and execution of integration projects across Sustainment.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the planning and execution of integration projects, including the development of supporting tools, coordination and execution of DR targets, workforce planning, reporting metrics, Earned Value Excellence, organizational change and maturation, and affordability initiatives.
- Analyze, coordinate, and manage Sustainment usage of DRs (Overhead, New Business Funds, IT expenses, and Capital Investments) across Sustainment teams and companies.
- Develop a holistic Sustainment DR picture with recommendations provided to Sustainment leadership for successfully achieving targets.
- Provide sustainment program support, including integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation, and repair support requirements for the lifecycle of the product.
- Oversee repairs, incorporate modifications, and implement program initiatives of fielded M-TADS and Longbow FCR systems and related subassemblies in accordance with specific engineering specifications.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government Property.
- Ability to lift 35 pounds.
- Ability to work with hazardous materials.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related degree.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, cable-and-harness, and circuit card assemblies (CCA).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and test/repair procedures.
- Ability to interpret industry standards and military specifications.
- Knowledge/Experience in system trouble-shooting and fault isolation methods.
- Experience with supporting/maintaining military hardware.
- Experience using AMS (Asset Management System).
- Knowledge and experience in material movement practices.
