About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team as a Liaison and Support Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with patients, hospital staff, and pharmacy team members to provide exceptional customer service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a hospital setting, building strong relationships with patients, hospital staff, and pharmacy team members.
  • Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly team meetings to ensure quality care and act on feedback.
  • Educate patients about services provided at discharge and articulate how patients can utilize pharmacy services to obtain full benefits of high-quality prescriptive care.
  • Attend and contribute to daily medical team meetings, coordinating the collection of prescriptions, patient orders, and necessary paperwork for the pharmacy team.
  • Schedule and coordinate pharmacist consultation reviews of patient-prescribed medications to drive medication adherence and education.
  • Handle the coordination of patient medication delivery at discharge and ensure education has been provided to necessary caregivers.
  • Identify and resolve insurance billing adjudication, including facilitating prior authorizations and assisting in locating financial assistance for patients as needed.
  • Conduct weekly follow-up calls with hospital patients post-discharge to ensure aftercare plans have been met.
  • Identify trends, barriers, and potential process improvement opportunities and recommend customized and innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED or higher.
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License or Certified Pharmacy Technician in the state of Massachusetts.
  • 2+ years of hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and insurance.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
