About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Management Intern to join our Automotive Entertainment team at SiriusXM. As a Product Management Intern, you will assist in the management of various projects related to our automotive entertainment platform, 360L. This role will provide broad exposure to leading cross-functional teams across the organization and will help shape the future of SiriusXM's 360L offering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering, defining, and prioritizing product and automotive OEM customer requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the SiriusXM User Experience Design team, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing, Programming, Customer Care, OEM Accounts, IT, Legal, and other corporate stakeholders to clearly communicate and document the features, requirements, and product status for assigned OEM in-vehicle audio applications.
  • Responsible for the product definition and management of automotive audio products.
  • Work with SXM product managers to define and document new automotive audio service feature requirements.
  • Make real-time decisions for assigned programs as the subject matter expert for product features and functionality.
  • Coordinate across product management, engineering, and UX to drive rich new functionality in-vehicle.
  • Manage the software update process to update firmware and other software in-vehicle across IT, Operations, and Engineering.
  • Product lead for emerging technologies in the vehicle and identifying how SiriusXM can leverage them to better integrate and improve functionality.
  • Tight coordination across Product Managers and the UX team to ensure the UX supports needed functionality for new services/features.
Requirements
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (those graduating by May 2026 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Agile/Scrum software development methodologies desirable.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Agile tools experience - Atlassian suite experience (Jira, Confluence) desirable.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
  • Commitment to 'internal client' and customer service principles.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Spelling, grammar, proofreading, and editing skills.
  • Creative writing ability.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous product management full-time or internship experience.
  • Previous automotive full-time or internship experience.
  • Master's students.
Compensation

We expect the base salary for this position to be $37-40/hr and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives.
