Position Overview: Physical Plant Supervisor II

Key Responsibilities:- Direct and oversee the activities of maintenance specialists and technicians
- Manage maintenance and construction operations within the facility
- Conduct repairs, new construction projects, and preventative maintenance
- Plan, assess, and execute maintenance initiatives
- Perform inspections and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in training sessions and departmental meetings
- Operate state vehicles for official duties
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
- Understanding of supervisory principles and management techniques
- Knowledge of building structural integrity and related issues
- Familiarity with various trades and safety regulations
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics
- Basic computer proficiency for reporting and research tasks
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time management and interpersonal abilities
- Expertise in coordinating maintenance projects and preventive maintenance strategies
Experience as a tradesman or equivalent experience in a supervisory role within physical plant operations.
Pre-Employment Requirements:Candidates selected for this position must successfully complete a background investigation, drug screening, and medical/physical examination. Tuberculosis (TB) testing and maintenance of a valid driver's license for state vehicle operation are also required.
