About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at Allied Staff Augmentation Partners. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing complex technical projects from initial contract negotiations through startup and warranty termination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee complex technical projects, adhering to strict goals and deadlines.
  • Reporting and Communication: Create and maintain activity and progress reports for internal and external customers.
  • Project Development: Responsible for all project development, including obtaining engineering proposals and monitoring project budgets.
  • Team Management: Hires, directs, evaluates, and disciplines Construction Inspectors.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinates all daily activities and personnel for each project.
  • Financial Management: Tracks all budget-related information, such as hours worked and expenses.
  • Paperwork and Administration: Processes paperwork, including invoices, for each project in a timely manner and submits to the VP of Operations.
  • Project Success: Ensures the success of projects, while remaining in line with time and budget parameters.
  • Escalation Management: Notifies management staff of any current or pending escalations relating to projects, or items that could impact the success of projects.
  • Emergency Project Management: Coordinates and completes the work necessary to obtain approval on emergency projects.
  • Travel: Constant, independent travel daily between worksites on Company time.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: Preferably a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience, preferably related to water and/or wastewater projects and design.
Education and Licenses
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or similar field required.
  • Valid Driver's License: Must maintain a valid driver's license.
Nice to Have
  • Advanced Education: MS or MBA preferred.
  • Professional Certification: PE preferred.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with water modeling software preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations.
  • Reading and Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret soil and hydro-geological reports and maps.
  • Project Management: Ability to complete work that will ensure the approval of all capital projects in a timely manner.
  • Record Keeping: Ability to keep accurate records and prepare and submit accurate reports.
  • Instruction Following: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, including negotiating, decision-making research and analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Workplace Safety: Ability to provide safe working conditions for fellow workers.
  • Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public.
  • Concept Understanding: Ability to understand and implement a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
