About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist to serve as the Chief of the Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community (MH ICC) at the Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of mental health programs and services, ensuring the highest quality care for our veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MH ICC team, ensuring the effective delivery of mental health services and programs.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement mental health programs and services that meet the needs of our veterans, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental disorders.
  • Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with other healthcare professionals, community organizations, and stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination and service delivery.
  • Quality Improvement and Evaluation: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of care, and evaluate program effectiveness through data-driven analysis.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to patients, family members, and healthcare professionals on mental health topics and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).
  • Licensure: Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license to practice psychology at the doctoral level in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Experience: At least three years of experience as a professional psychologist, with at least one year equivalent to the GS-13 grade level, which includes experience in mental health program development, implementation, and evaluation.
