Vivo HealthStaff is seeking a dedicated Physician to join a prominent health plan. This role is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
The Physician Reviewer will be responsible for executing essential functions to uphold the quality of care and ensure appropriate utilization in a cost-effective and professional manner, addressing the needs of both patients and healthcare professionals.
The Physician Reviewer will integrate into the Health Services Department, which encompasses various sectors including Medical Management, Provider Relations/Network Support, Quality Improvement, and Pharmacy.
Qualifications:
- M.D. Degree
- Active license to practice in California must be initiated prior to the start date
- Minimum of five years of experience as a practicing primary care physician, with a solid understanding of managed care and prior authorization review processes
- Familiarity with physician social and political dynamics, as well as managed care philosophy
