PCA I-Inpatient, Float Pool, 32 hours, Evenings

We are seeking a skilled PCA I-Inpatient, Float Pool, 32 hours, Evenings to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide exceptional care and support to our patients, working collaboratively with our Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide clear and timely communication to the RN regarding patient observations and changes.
- Participate in maintaining a safe environment, utilizing interventions to de-escalate patients and following restraint policies as directed.
- Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, ambulation, meals, and nourishment.
- Maintain patient safety by performing patient safety checks and utilizing fall prevention strategies.
- Minimum of a high school education or GED.
- Current Basic Life Support or Heart Saver certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and ability to remain calm under stress or in emergency situations.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a similar setting.
- Prior inpatient or outpatient care experience or clinical care training.
- Medical Terminology and computer skills.
This role requires working every other weekend and every other holiday, with a schedule of 3pm - 11:30pm.
