Position Overview
The Manufacturing Reliability Engineer plays a crucial role in enhancing plant dependability and optimizing equipment functionality. This position focuses on establishing and executing strategies that ensure the maintenance program consistently meets high-performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement methodologies aimed at improving plant and equipment reliability.
2. Oversee all aspects of the production process, including facilities, machinery, utilities, and operational procedures.
3. Manage the performance of a unionized workforce by effectively scheduling and monitoring work assignments.

Essential Duties
- Organize and direct maintenance operations to boost the reliability of manufacturing processes, fostering a culture of excellence and achieving high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Manage maintenance resources, including labor, materials, and vendor services, to enhance productivity continuously.
- Supervise utility systems within the facility, ensuring optimal performance of power sources, climate control, water, and lighting.
- Collaborate with Operations Management to create annual budgets for capital and maintenance expenses, managing costs effectively in relation to production changes.
- Take full responsibility for planning, monitoring, and managing the departmental budget.
- Organize and oversee the schedules and tasks of the maintenance team.
- Ensure compliance with quality policies and safety regulations during maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors as necessary.
- Conduct process assessments and problem-solving as required.
- Supervise staff responsible for hazardous waste management and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven leadership and management experience.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Maintenance or Plant Management, with a background in capital project management and vendor relations.
- Experience in a unionized work environment is preferred.
