Atlantic Vision Partners seeks a highly skilled Medical Insurance Collections Associate to join our team. As a Medical Insurance Collections Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing patient accounts, filing insurance claims, and ensuring timely payments. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have three to five years of experience in insurance billing and be proficient in medical billing software. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Filing insurance claims, including entering claim information and following up on unpaid and rejected claims.
- Managing patient accounts, including answering account status inquiries and resolving patient complaints.
- Ensuring accurate and complete claim information, including diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, provider information, and patient insurance ID.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to five years of experience in insurance billing preferred.
- Excellent judgment, dependability, and conscientiousness.
- Demonstrated high ethical standards and integrity.
- Prior experience with medical billing software is a plus.
