Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for the design and development of commercial and industrial HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with clients, negotiate project parameters, and conduct thorough technical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Develop and maintain engineering scopes for various projects, ensuring alignment with operational budgets.
- Technical Analysis: Execute and review detailed load calculations using industry-standard software, interpreting results for optimal system performance.
- Cost Evaluation: Conduct life-cycle cost analyses to evaluate energy impacts and assist in system selection.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate mechanical requirements with architects and other engineering disciplines.
- Documentation: Review and produce comprehensive specifications and operational sequences.
- Client Relations: Foster relationships with corporate clients, including architects and general contractors.
- Workload Prioritization: Manage and prioritize tasks to meet project timelines effectively.
- Technical Guidance: Provide support and direction to design teams and junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
- Proven experience in designing mechanical and plumbing systems and managing related projects.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear manner.
- Understanding of mechanical system costs and installation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience with Trane Trace 700 software for load and energy modeling.

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with occasional site visits. Minimal physical effort is required, with exposure to typical job site conditions.
