Eye Care Opportunity with Walmart

As an Independent Optometrist, you will have the autonomy to establish your own practice within Walmart stores. This unique opportunity allows you to take a leading role in patient care, providing eye and vision care, as well as general health and well-being services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish your days of practice and hours of operation
  • Control your patient schedule and set your fee schedule
  • Keep 100% of exam/professional fees
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school (optional)
  • Valid state ophthalmology license (optional)
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate
  • W-9

By leasing space within Walmart stores, you will have access to a fair market value for equipment, instrumentation, administrative support, and Opt-Tech services (if state allowed). This opportunity is ideal for independent optometrists looking to establish their own practice and provide high-quality eye care services to patients.

As an independent lease holder, you will be responsible for your own business operations, including marketing, patient scheduling, and financial management. Walmart will provide the necessary support and resources to ensure a successful partnership.
