Job Description

At Woodridge of Northwest LLC, we are seeking a skilled Counseling Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our therapeutic services team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing treatment plans for our clients. This will involve conducting intake interviews to gather medical and psychological history, as well as compiling relevant documents to inform treatment decisions.

Treatment Planning and Implementation

  • Establish agendas and conduct treatment team sessions to review progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Observe clients for abnormal physical or mental behavior and monitor progress in accordance with treatment plans.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions according to treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote client growth and development.

Client Support and Communication

  • Contact and schedule counseling sessions with family members, significant others, and involved agencies to ensure comprehensive support for our clients.
  • Arrange for family visits and facilitate reunification with family members, promoting a sense of community and connection.
  • Document all external and internal contacts, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company and governmental guidelines.

Team Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Participate as a team member, cooperating with staff and demonstrating compromise and expression of opinions as appropriate.
  • Attend staff meetings and perform duties as a positive role model for clients and colleagues.
  • Utilize the chain of command in all aspects of program operations, following organization policies and procedures.

Community Relations and Communication

  • Ensure all written and verbal information is clear, concise, legible, and accurate, promoting effective communication with families, external personnel, and staff members.
