We are currently seeking a qualified Regulatory Compliance and Privacy Lead to enhance our legal team. This role will entail comprehensive oversight of the company's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive work environment through engaging interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage the daily operations of the corporate compliance and privacy initiatives, including the oversight of the website privacy policy.
  • Take ownership of all compliance and privacy-related policies to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and statutory obligations, including coordinating the development and execution of internal audits and reviewing current policies.
  • Develop training programs for new policies, revisions, and updates.
  • Collaborate with various departments to channel compliance concerns to the appropriate existing pathways for investigation and resolution.
  • Oversee the necessary breach assessment and notification processes in accordance with HIPAA, Data Privacy laws, and applicable state regulations, in collaboration with the legal team.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and monitor Business Associate Agreements to ensure compliance with privacy obligations.

  • Consult with the legal department regarding the company's contractual commitments from a compliance viewpoint.
  • Initiate and engage with external auditors and conduct internal audits as necessary.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in compliance and/or legal roles.
  • ACAMS certification is required.
  • IAPP certification is preferred or a willingness to obtain certification within six months of employment.
  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience in international, state, and federal information privacy regulations.
