Job Overview

Western Digital is a global leader in data storage solutions, and we're seeking a seasoned professional to join our Ethics and Governance team as a Lead Compliance Expert and Senior Advisor.

This critical role involves providing strategic guidance on anti-corruption initiatives, enhancing our proactive measures to prevent bribery and corruption, and collaborating with various departments to drive compliance across the organization.

Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in compliance, ethics, and governance. The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience, and membership in a U.S. state bar. Prior experience in a global company, particularly in the government sector (U.S. Department of Justice/SEC), is highly valued.

The successful candidate will have exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver engaging presentations to diverse audiences. They will also possess strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Expertise: Provide anti-bribery and anti-corruption subject matter expertise to the company, working closely with outside counsel as needed.
  • Program Management: Implement the company's anti-corruption program, including due diligence, training, tools, and monitoring high-risk transactions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments on anti-corruption projects, including updates to policies, procedures, and internal controls based on risk assessments and root-cause reports.
  • Risk Assessment: Analyze anti-corruption data, identify trends, and assess compliance risks.
  • Investigations/Audit Support: Collaborate with Investigations and Internal Audit on complex cases and remediation activities.
Salary and Benefits

Western Digital offers a highly competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
