Position Summary:
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate directly with LePrix's executive leadership and senior management to shape and execute the company's worldwide sales and operations planning strategy. As a Senior Sales and Merchandising Strategist, you will be tasked with translating and aligning business strategies into actionable demand and procurement plans for the organization. You will maintain a comprehensive perspective on all wholesale sourcing and distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Supply Planning: Oversee and implement supply planning initiatives across global procurement divisions.
- Support Sales & Marketing Efforts: Validate demand forecasts by scrutinizing historical sales data at various aggregation levels.
- Facilitate Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with Sales & Marketing to review and synchronize departmental demand forecasts with supply strategies.
- Develop Channel Fulfillment Strategies: Formulate demand and supply strategies for both new store openings and replenishment of existing locations.
- Engage with Leadership: Collaborate with Procurement & Operations leadership to create procurement and production plans aligned with global demand and supply projections.
- Conduct S&OP Meetings: Organize monthly Sales & Operations Planning meetings with key stakeholders to assess progress, update forecasts, and evaluate supply performance.
- Identify Opportunities and Risks: Ensure that all prospective business opportunities and risks are incorporated into the ongoing demand and supply forecasts.
- Monitor Inventory and Merchandising: Develop strategies to enhance visibility and mitigate risks associated with stockouts and aging inventory.
- Ensure Effective Information Flow: Maintain consistent, accurate, and updated communication between sales, procurement, operations, and finance teams.
- Assist Regional and HQ Planning: Support APAC, EU, and HQ planning teams with reports, projects, and various activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- 4-8 years of experience in wholesale, retail, or demand planning is required.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential; familiarity with Tableau, Power BI/Query, or VBA is advantageous.
- Capability to work with extensive data sets and analyze issues from multiple perspectives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Japanese is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously are crucial.
- Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure.
- Solid forecasting acumen, including forecast accuracy in MAPE & BIAS, product seasonality & lifecycle; prior experience in the wholesale sector is beneficial.
- A collaborative team player comfortable working across diverse teams, personalities, and management levels, balancing perspectives among stakeholders who contribute to and utilize processes.
